Not having a fever doesn’t provide a 100% confirmation that the person isn’t sick with Covid-19.

On the other hand, we all know that if you’re suffering with fever, you should avoid contact with other people, just in case. More importantly at a wedding where you’ll be in close contact with so many guests.

So, our first tip is to set up a temperature check as guests arrive. It’s by no means an easy task to tell one of your guests that they can’t partake of the celebration if it turns out they indeed have a temperature.

We advise to let this temperature check to the venue personnel which they’ll be obliged to do anyways.

You can also give the heads up to all your guests about this measure so that they don’t feel uneasy as they arrive to your event and are fully aware as to what to expect.

A micro wedding is an event with less than 50 guests in total. This type of arrangement offers flexibility and a very close experience which your guests. These are some of the main reasons why micro weddings are becoming a huge trend during the pandemic.

• Civil and Catholic ceremonies must be celebrated in legally approved locations
• You can have a legal ceremony in Gibraltar- requirements to follow- and later a symbolic ceremony in Spain
• Same sex weddings are legal in Spain
• Several visits are usually required to secure a church date and the officiating priest will need to meet the couple before their wedding.
• Certain documents could be found as non- valid if more than 6 months old. So, it’s important to follow your planner advice on the best time to obtain them.
• Marriages celebrated in Spanish soil are recognized worldwide and are legally binding.

If you want to have a civil wedding in Spain you must meet either one of the points below:
• One of you have been a Spanish resident for at least 2 years
• One of you is a Spanish citizen
Your application for the civil wedding must be made to the Civil Registry, District Court or Town Hall in the place where the wedding will take place.  Note: The procedure may vary depending on where you are getting married.

First, you should know that the final figure your caterer has quoted you isn’t only brought about by the cost of buying the necessary ingredients and fresh produce for your cocktails, appetizers and main dishes.
In Spain, as in most places, the cost of labour is what causes the price to increase substantially.
The costs of any required licenses and travel involved will also add to the final bill.

Secondly, and more importantly, in my opinion, Spaniards are very demanding about their cuisine. Food is considered the most critical part of a wedding for locals.

Most often than not, a wedding is remembered because of the type and quality of the food that was served to guests.
So, if you’re a foodie yourself who want to have the best fare in your day and impress all your guests, Spain is the place for you!
Only the caterers that produce good food and offer good value for money are sure to remain in business!
Lots of effort and planning goes into ordering the food and drinks to serve at such a big event like a wedding. Your caterer will have to make sure that there’s enough of everything for your guests so that they don’t run out of stock.

For instance, if you’re serving four types of beer, your caterer will calculate how much of each type since he needs to have plenty for everyone.

It’s one of these moments when your caterer experience comes handy.

An experienced supplier will have a pretty good idea of how many items to order. He’ll look at the size of your wedding party to buy just enough, and only a little surplus, if any.

You don’t have to worry too much about this, since contrary to other places, you’ll receive a fixed price for your wedding menu.
All the drinks for your wedding’s cocktail reception and sit- down meal are included in the price of the package.
Equally so, the price for your Open Bar hours has been calculated beforehand by your pro, and it’s a fixed price that will vary based on the number of hours you contract.

Average wedding catering prices per person differ among the different geographical areas in Spain.
Prices are usually higher in the north of the country.

Here in Andalucía and Marbella in particular, the average price per person is around € 120 (give or take). If you marry at a 5* luxury Hotel, a 25% increase should be expected. If you choose a private Villa or a country venue, those prices could go down as much as 25% per person.

When you’re building your wedding budget, keep in mind that around 40% of your wedding budget is spent on food and drinks.

That’ll be by far your single biggest expense. 

There are two types: liability insurance and cancellation or postponement insurance.

1. Liability insurance covers incidents that happen during the wedding day such as property damage to the wedding venue and injuries to your guests. 

Many insurance suppliers say that this’s the most common type of insurance they sell.

For instance: if one of your guests slips and falls, your liability insurance will cover his/her medical bills up to your policy limits.

You should expect to spend at least 10 % of your overall budget on bridal attire.
But this amount doesn’t only account for your dress! You should also factor in your veil or headpiece (which can range between € 250 to € 400 ), lingerie, jewellery, shoes and your groom entire look.

Remember that you’ll typically need alterations for any bridal gown which could range from € 75 to € 250.
If you’re looking to make significant changes such as: adding sleeves or a bustle or changing a neckline, this price could go up to € 500.
It could be though that you prefer to spend more on your dress than in other items such as music or flowers. Then go for it and scale back on those other areas.
After all, it’s your wedding day, and you’ll always remember what you wore on your wedding day!

If you need to borrow some money, just ask for an amount you can ideally pay within the next 3 to 6 months.

There are cases where one or both sets of parents or other family members are happy to help pay for part of the expenses.
This is a godsend gift to any young couple!
